Location: Barcelona preferred, although fully remote candidates will be considered, +/- 2 hours from CET.


About Kognia: Kognia Sports Intelligence is on a mission to revolutionize football performance analysis through cutting-edge technology and deep insights into the game. Based in Barcelona and backed by industry giants including Xavi Hernández and Iker Casillas, we are a startup with a passionate team striving to bring actionable insights to coaches, players, and sports enthusiasts.


The Opportunity: We are looking for a strong UX/UI designer to join our team in a period of growth, to bring maximum value to our users, working with developers as part of an agile team. Initial contract duration of 6 months with potential for extension or permanent role dependent on business needs.


Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the Product Manager to identify user’s needs, understand how users consume our product and elaborate user questions.
  2. Plan and conduct interviews, user surveys and usability tests.
  3. Create an interface and a user experience aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly and efficient.   
  4. Ensure consistency of the look and feel of Kognia products.
  5. Participate in other company activities such as recruitment and professional development.


Requirements

  1. 2-3 years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  1. Fluent in user-centered design best practices
  2. Lean mindset, to create quick and fast prototypes to validate ideas
  3. Knowledge of interactive wireframes tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent)
  4. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing agile environment.
  5. Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, in English.


Nice to have

  1. Adept at handling and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data.
  2. Experience with HTML5, CSS3.
  3. Experience with component libraries from a front-end development perspective.
  4. Knowledge of Material Design.
  5. Experience working with hypothesis driven methodologies
