Kognia is a Barcelona-based sports technology company founded by a multi-disciplinary team of experts from football, science, and technology domains, and supported by an experienced group of football industry partners, including FIFA legends Xavi Hernández and Iker Casillas. Football is a sport that demands precision, strategy, and intuition. The ability to analyse performance and make improvements is crucial to succeed on the pitch. Kognia is designed to revolutionize the way soccer teams analyse their own and their opponents’ matches. Kognia’s product offering is built on cutting-edge computer vision technology and a unique AI system for detecting soccer tactics. Embedded in a cloud-operating platform, our technology provides video analysts, technical staff, and sporting directors with a comprehensive view on each match and the tools to extract meaningful insights from the data.

We are looking for a self-driven Account Executive North America to join our commercial team. Your aim will be to identify, connect and close deals with professional football clubs and football associations with a regional focus on North America.

The position

  • Lead, manage and drive sales activities in your market.
  • Build commercial partnerships with key stakeholders (clubs, federations, other industry members).
  • Proactively connect and network with key external stakeholders who can help Kognia grow in your market and beyond.
  • Position and promote Kognia’s technology solution and product offering in the North American market to create visibility and brand awareness.
  • Represent Kognia at events and conferences.
  • Handle on-going client relationship management to further nurture accounts.

Requirements and skills

  • +2 years’ experience in a similar role in the sports technology industry.
  • Have subject matter expertise – Good understanding of sports technology industry (existing software and technology solutions).
  • Good communication skills (oral and written), and good negotiation skills.
  • Existing network of Football clubs or FA in any of the areas of Technical Secretary, Football Director, professional team staff, beneficial.
  • Used to work with CRM tools (preferably HubSpot, but no must have)
  • Be driven to succeed, go above & beyond the call of duty.
  • Willing to travel within the region.
  • Fluent business English.
  • Fluent business Spanish as a benefit.
